The Little Block Challenge - 2008
In conjunction with The Crafty Quilter we
are setting out a design challenge available to all quilters.
Called the Little Block challenge, it started
out in 2006 as a little challenge between myself and my daughter Joanna
using a simple block and a few design parameters.
However, we were both amazed at the diversity in our
finished quilts (shown below) that we decided
to open the challenge to quilters everywhere to see what you could come
up with.
Here are the results of our personal 2008 Challenge

The rules are simple: make a quilt approx. 1 metre square using the 4" block below, together with some appliqué bias work.
And that's it!
You can use whatever fabrics you choose and it costs nothing to enter.
Note: the block may not measure 4" if you
print it from this webpage.
You will need to either download the MS
word/PDF entry form file - link below,
draft the block yourself or send for
the entry form by post.
Closing date for entries is the 31st October
2008
